The joy I find in capturing textures has got something to do with contradictions. One of a very simple and also a complex kind – all at the same time. With the right viewing distance, it offers, the simplest idea that is essentially the subject of any photograph; an arrangement. The complexity arises in comprehending why within such an incoherent arrangement lies some significant order that collectively seems composed despite the inconceivable extent of its great many parts.
